Welcome to Southern Acres Kennels. My name is Maurice Pugh. My kennel is located in Asheboo, NC home of the North Carolina Zoo. I have hunted with feist as a young boy. The first feist I hunted with was my Grandfather’s. I have owned and bred
Feist as early as 40 years ago . I did quit the feist for a good while and now I have returned to Feist once more.My goal is to form my on line The Southern Acers Feist .I am bringing together several lines of Feist to combine there abilitys and traits Some of the dogs that our dogs go back to are: Hammerin Bo World Champion and Hale’s Sling Shot World Champion and Parnells Pepper – Krusz’s Little Jack
I strive to breed for quality, hard hunters, and stay put tree dogs. I always breed to try and get better. That start early and hunt at a steady pace! As I get closer to retirement my plans are to start having some started dogs for sale. I make a few breedings a year. If you think you would like to try one of our pup’s, give me a call.
